Flight Booking Agent
Developed an end-to-end autonomous booking agent using Google Dialogflow CX Agent Studio. The system integrates with live APIs via a Python backend to handle complex, multi-leg flight logistics and natural language temporal parsing.
The Challenge
Booking multi-leg flights is one of the most complex tasks in the travel industry. Users need to specify multiple destinations, handle layovers, manage date flexibility, compare prices across airlines, and navigate complex fare rules — often abandoning the process due to friction.
The challenge was to build a conversational agent capable of understanding nuanced travel requests like "I need to fly from Mumbai to London with a two-day stopover in Dubai, departing anytime next week, business class, and I want to come back the following Thursday."
The Solution
I built a conversational flight booking agent using Google Dialogflow CX Agent Studio with custom components for date parsing, location disambiguation, and fare class understanding. The agent integrates via a robust Python backend with multiple airline APIs to fetch real-time pricing and availability.
The system handles complex multi-turn dialogues, remembers user preferences, suggests alternatives when exact matches aren't available, and guides users through the entire booking flow — from search to seat selection to payment confirmation.
